Pathologies in agreement with the National Health Service

Terme Dolomia is affiliated with the National Health Service for hydropinic treatment, inhalation therapy (12 aerosols + 12 inhalations) and mud therapy (12 mud packs/thermal showers).

Everyone can benefit from one cycle of thermal cures per year if they have a prescription issued by their family doctor or specialist or general paediatrician.

The prescription must be transcribed on the regional prescription pad and must state: “A course of (indicate related course of treatment) is prescribed for (indicate exactly one of the pathologies listed on the following pages).”

Everyone must pay the co-pay (currently Euro 55.00). Those who are exempt from paying the co-pay, but subject to payment of a fixed fee on the prescription (currently Euro 3.10) are:

– Patients under 6 and over 65 years of age with an overall household income of less than Euro 36,151.98.

– Patients over 60 years of age with a minimum pension and dependants with a household income of less than Euro 8,263.61 or Euro 11,362.05 in the case of a spouse.

– Unemployed patients and dependants with a household income of less than Euro 8,263.31 or Euro 11,362.05 in the case of a spouse.

– Patients exempt due to pathology.

The following are totally exempt: 100% civil invalids, great invalids for services and work, and war invalids with direct life-long pensions.

The exemption, to be recognised, must be stated on the prescription with the national code. The co-pay or fixed fee includes the medical examination and the related 12-day course of treatments. The Thermal Scientific Committee recommends an overall course of at least 12 days, including 3 or 4 types of cures (including contracted cures). For special clinical cases, a second cycle, at variable intervals, is indicated. The second course of treatment, carried out within the calendar year, is subject to a fee, excluding the medical examination.

Treatment granted by the National Health Service must be completed within 16 days of the opening of the file. Admission to treatment is compulsorily preceded by a medical spa examination at the establishment, previously booked at the secretary’s office. On the day of the visit, you must bring with you: the completed referral form (last and first name, address, tax identification number, course of treatment and pathology, date, doctor’s signature, and exemption code if applicable), a copy of your health insurance card, a copy of a document proving that you belong to an exempt category, and, if applicable, reports of previous examinations and a list of medications taken.
